Google Leaked Australian Passports
This is a post I wrote while teaching the famous Certified Ethical Hacker class at EC Council. One chapter contains details about “Google hacking”. During class, we discovered some very interesting details…
We found scanned Australian Passport, Driver Licence, Birth Certificate, and other confidential data on a web site. After my efforts and those of my students removed the content from the “Semi Government”)-owned web site, this post was published.
To protect the victims, all images have been “blurred” by myself. This post has received more than twenty thousand clicks in a week, many re tweets, and was published in many newspapers.
Here is a great example of why we need to be careful when sharing our “ID”

If your name appears below, or you are a friend of any of these people, please reach out to them. My goal with publishing the name was to reach them and change their ID numbers as soon as possible. We reached out to that web site and they removed the link (after 4 hours). But Google still has the cash and the web site will be reported. The good news is that I had a student from the NSW Police Department in my class, so WE do ethical hacking
