Another Change in The VMware Certification Program 2021: What Is It And Why?

VMware is the market leader in advanced virtualization software development. They believe it is essential to create a comprehensive certification program that will set the standard for IT professionals. It will assess their key technical skills and help them implement and manage VMware technologies in order to achieve the desired results.
Additionally, certified team members are more beneficial to organizations because they have the relevant skills to install, manage, and maintain VMware software. This allows them to work more efficiently and productively.
Actual VMware Certification Overview
The VMware certification program is structured and thoughtfully designed based on roles. To put it another way, the VMware certification program is structured and has clear gradations. These gradations are necessary to attain the highest level of expertise in cloud environments, including technology solutions that support the transition to the cloud. The following levels are open to qualified applicants:
VMware Certified Technical Associate (VCTA), for Operators
VMware Certified Professional (VCP), for administrators and engineers
VMware Certified Advanced Professional (VCAP), for engineers, administrators, and architects
VMware Certified Design Experts for architects (VCDX).
Each level has its own prerequisites. These can be used as a guideline or mandatory and can be done in any order. This program also offers multiple accreditation pathways for professionals who work in the areas of Data Center Virtualization and Security, Application Modernization, Cloud Management and Automation, and End-User Computing.
Nothing is static, even the structure of The VMware Accreditation Programme
VMware is also known for constantly changing the structure of its certification program. VMware believes that the IT industry needs to be relevant and give relevant names and descriptions to the qualification paths. Certification and exam titles are no exception. The Digital Workspace (DW), path has been renamed End-user Computing (EUC), to better reflect the industry trends and the scope of each solution. The Desktop Management track has been renamed to Desktop Management. The EUC track will now cover both the Desktop Management and Digital Workspace accreditations. This is a benefit for both current and certified specialists, and opens the door to further professional development.
The vendor’s goal is to provide candidates with the most relevant skills, so the exams are constantly changing. The 5V0-71.19 exam, also known as VMware Cloud Native Master Specialist, will be retired on October 31. It will be replaced with the Professional VMware Application Modernization (2V0-71.21). The 5V0-33.19 exam, which was required to obtain the VMware Cloud on AWS 2021 Master Specialist certification in the past, will be replaced by the 5V0-11.21 test.
These changes will affect the VCP–CMA 2021 certification. It is expected that it will be updated due to the new version of vRealize Automation. The Professional VMware vRealize automation 8.1 (2V0-31.20), associated exam, will be replaced by the Professional VMware VMware vRealize Automation 8.3 (2V0-31.21).
The same reason is behind the VCP-DTM 2021 qualification change. On February 28, 2022, the Professional VMware Horizon 7.7 (2V0-51.19 qualifying exam) will be replaced with the Professional VMware Horizon 8.x (2V0-51.21) exam.
There are new ways to get the certificate you want
The VMware certification program is constantly evolving and growing as a result of the global IT industry’s development. VMware is constantly updating its certificates with new tests. These include:
The VMware SD-WAN Design & Deploy Skills exam numbered V0-42.21 validates the candidate’s knowledge in implementing vRealize Automation 8.x as well as its maintenance, deployment, task analysis, and administration of users and groups. This test is the prerequisite for the VMware SD-WAN Design and Deploy 2021 certification.
The VMware Workspace ONE Skills exam, coded 5V0-63.21 covers the skills required to manage different macOS devices using Workspace ONE. This is required in order to obtain the appropriate VMware Workspace ONE certification for macOS 2021.
